We're here!

Our road trip across the country started off by Bella deciding early on that she'd be more comfortable sitting up front. Which meant Brian drove the whole time and I sat with our delusional dog who thought she was a lap dog. After three days and 50 pounds of weight on my lap I was ready to be out of the car for good.

Our neighborhood is great. Our house is only a couple of blocks from a park with great walking trails. The most obvious difference right away is the weather. Right now we have sunny skies and a high of 66. A heat wave compared to the snowy tundra back in MN. In NJ you don't pump your gas either. I was first introduced to this process in Portland a few years ago, but I still made for a very awkward exchange with our gas attendant on Sunday. The big projects of the week are continue to unpack and settle in and paint. And maybe sit outside and enjoy the warm weather...
