Trick or Treat?

Jersey folk take their Halloween decorating very serious. We're talking an entire cobweb covering the front of a house. Or zombie goblins lining the driveway. This is one of the many typical houses you'll see in our neighborhood. I thought it odd to see a house so done up for Halloween, but then after walking past all the houses that looked like a scene out of a horror film, I was thinking, "maybe we're the odd ones out". I didn't want to glorify the Halloween decorating any more than necessary, so instead I bought a pumpkin and a festive fall wreath. It's a small attempt to fit in. Maybe we'll consider having a live Nativity Scene at Christmas.
